  • Workshop Information
    • Weave cotton placemats or a table runner.
    • Choose one of several patterns: Color-and-Weave, including Shadow Weave and Log Cabin, plaid, twill, ot stripes.
    • Color-and-Weave is a method of making designs using two or more colors interacting with the weave structure.
    • Begin with a naked loom, and learn to dress the loom for weaving.
    • Unique offerings uses two types of looms: 4-Shaft or rigid heddle.
    • Loom preference will be selected by order of class registration.
    • Shaft looms available for rental or sale after class, if desired.
    • No prior weaving experience necessary.A selection of different projects will help everyone succeed
    • Small class size, limit of 12 students

About the Instructor

Patricia Morton has been weaving for over 30 years. As a “workshop junkie”, she has studied at numerous seminars and weaving conferences. She exhibited her work with four New England guilds, prior to relocating to Appomattox, Virginia. Her work has been featured in Handwoven magazine. She sells her handwovens online. Patricia loves to spread her passion for weaving. She has introduced numerous adults and children to weaving. She is co-owner of Treeditions, a weaving, woodworking, and weaving tools company. Additional Information

Rustic but comfortable, bunkstyle lodging is provided. Please bring your own linens, pillow and toiletries.

Meals are provided from Friday dinner to Monday lunch. Please let us know of any dietary needs.

An information packet will be sent to you, upon registration completion.
